The NEDA Regional Office (NRO) in MIMAROPA received the 2018 Outstanding Partner for Report on Regional Economic Developments in the Philippines for the fourth time by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). This was during the awards ceremony and appreciation lunch for BSP stakeholders held on September 14, 2018 at Hotel Kimberly in Tagaytay.

The event was attended by BSP partners and stakeholders in CALABARZON and MIMAROPA regions that supported BSP’s statistical and information requirements and advocacy programs.

NRO MIMAROPA OIC Regional Director Susan A. Sumbeling received the award grom BSP MOnetary Board Member Peter B. Favila and Deputy Governor Chuchi G. Fonacier.

During the event, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) – MIMAROPA was conferred as Outstanding Partner for the Financial Learning Campaign while the province of Palawan was awarded as Outstanding Regional Partner for Implementing BSP Advocacy on the Conduct of Public Information Campaigns. The provincial government of Palawan was also a recipient of the Gold Hall of Fame award after winning in the same award for three consecutive years.


With the theme “Reinforcing Partnerships, Defying New Challenges”, the BSP continues its annual tradition or recognizing its partners that support its statistical undertakings, information needs and advocacy programs to carry out its goal of safeguarding price stability and promoting a healthy financial system in the country.
