The NEDA Regional Office in  MIMAROPA provided technical assistance (TA) on project prioritization to Marinduque State College (MSC) during the conduct of the MSC Planning Workshop held on September 20-22 at MARELCO Hall, Brgy. Ihatub, Boac, Marinduque.

The activity, which was participated in by officials, campus directors, and representatives from different departments and offices, aimed to update the target indicators specified in the MSC Strategic Plan 2022-2030 and prioritize programs, activities, and projects (PAPs) of the MSC for fiscal year (FY)  2023-2025.

The workshop was divided into plenary and breakout sessions. During the plenary session, the following topics were discussed: (a) salient features of MSC SDP 2022-2030; (b) list of PAPs for FY 2023-2025; and (c) list of FY 2023 RDC-endorsed PAPs of MSC included in the National Expenditure Program or NEP. During the breakout session, the participants were divided into five breakout groups to update their results matrices and prioritize projects using the Goal Achievement Matrix.

At the end of the workshop, the participants were able to rank their projects for FY 2023.

Ms. Kimberly Ann T. Pilongo of the Project Development, Investment Programming, and Budget Division and Mr. Julius Carlo F. Hilado of the Policy Formulation and Planning Division served as  resource speakers during the workshop.
