Present during the launch were representatives from the Department of Agriculture, Department of Public Works and Highways, National Irrigation Administration, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Interior and Local Government, Department of Health, City College of Calapan, Mindoro State College of Agriculture and Technology, Provincial Governments of Romblon and Oriental Mindoro, City Government of Calapan, private sector organizations, and NEDA MIMAROPA personnel.

Pecson oriented the participants on the Philippine PPP program and the LGU PPP strategy. Umali, on the other hand, stressed the importance of public and private collaboration in  implementing projects in the region. He also encouraged the participants to be more aggressive in proposing projects that will promote inclusive growth.

The MIMAROPA PPP KC is the 14th information hub for PPPs in the country. It aims to provide information and knowledge on PPP projects for local government units, regional line agencies, state universities and colleges, and other stakeholders.

The establishment of the KC is part of PPP Center’s strategy to help develop and implement PPP projects at the local level.
