The field monitoring activity conducted on Nov. 18-19, 2015, was the first for the newly created provincial monitoring team (PMT) of Romblon. The activity was actively participated by the team composed of: Mr. Juanito Olave, Jr., DILG Provincial Director, Engr. Antonio P. Sarzona of Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, Mr. Inocencio M. Montojo, OIC-Provincial General Services Office, Ms. Josefel Marin, Budget Officer, Ms. Espirita G. Sarmiento, Provincial Aquaculturist, Engr. Gilbert F. Falquerabao and Engr. Gerby Solis of Provincial Engineering Office, Engr. William M. Diola of Provincial Health Office, and the PMC secretariat, Ms. Gemma Etis and Ms. Melodina Villaluz. Also present during the activity were the RPMC secretariat and Mr. Danton Arevalo, the Asst. Provincial Director of DILG in Romblon.

 The team conducted the two day monitoring activity of selected on going and completed projects in Tablas Island. They monitored the following projects: (1) Marine Multi-Species Hatchery and Research Center at Brgy. Canduyong, Odiongan, Romblon amounting to 25M; (2) Concreting of Lined Canal at Brgy. Malilico, Odiongan, Romblon amounting to 1M; (3) Construction of Romblon Livelihood and Research Center, Brgy. Tuguis, Odiongan, Romblon amounting to 8M; (4) Construction/Improvement of Romblon Provincial Hospital (Bldg. 2 & 3), Odiongan, Rombon amounting to 118M; (5) Repair/Rehabilitation of San Andres District Hospital, San Andres, Romblon amounting to 4.9M; (6) Construction of Multi-Purpose Bldg. (Legislative Bldg.), Brgy. Tabang-dagat, Odiongan, Romblon amounting to 7.5M; (7) Repair/Rehabilitation of Tablas Island District Hospital, Poblacion, San Agustin, Romblon amounting to 2.5M.

 The RPMC secretariat provided the team with pointers on how to conduct the field monitoring activity and the importance of monitoring the implementation of projects within their jurisdiction. The team was able to verify on ground the reported status of project implementation. Issues and recommendations were discussed by the team with beneficiaries and implementing agencies. The activity is both fruitful for the PMT of Romblon and the RPMC.
