The Regional Project Monitoring Committee continues to provide technical assistance to the Local Project Monitoring Committees (LPMCs), Two trainings were conducted to the LPMCs of Romblon and Palawan.
These trainings aim to reactivate and to capacitate the municipalities in organizing their LPMCs and in monitoring projects within their jurisdiction.
As part of the RPMC activity, Department of Budget and Management (DBM) conducted a meeting with members of the Romblon State University (RSU) Bids and Awards Committee to thresh out problems in project procurement in Romblon. An ocular inspection of selected ongoing and completed projects inside the RSU was also conducted to serve as field exercise for members of the Provicial PMC.
ARD Rodrigo Marquez, Mr. Michael Lacsamana of DBM 4-B, Dir. James Fadrilan of Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) 4-B and National Economic and Development Auhtority (NEDA) 4-B technical staff served as resource persons for the trainings.
The participants recognized the importance of project monitoring and agreed on the timetable to organize their LPMCs.
NEDA 4-B expects that regular monitoring reports of the LPMCs be provided to PPMC and the RPMC.
