RDC MIMAROPA conducts private sector representatives’ briefing

The MIMAROPA Regional Development Council (RDC) conducted a briefing fro private sector representatives (PSRs) on December 7, 2017 at Ace Hotel and Suites in Pasig City.

RDC MIMAROPA Acting Vice Chairperson and NEDA OIC Regional Director Atty. Raul S. Anlocotan together with OIC Assistant Regional Director Susan A. Sumbeling, led the activity. The briefing was participated in by PSRs from the five provinces in the region.

Atty. Anlocotan, in his opening remarks, emphasized the importance of private sector representation to the RDC. He encouraged the private sector representatives to actively participate in the planning and development undertakings being done in the region.

ARD Sumbeling reoriented the PSRs on the MIMAROPA RDC manual of operations specifically on the provisions for PSRs.

Mr. Darius Guerrero, the labor sector representative to the RDC, presented the highlights and agreements during the 8th PSR National Convention which was held on June 21-23, 2017 in Panglao Island, Bohol.

Atty. Anlocotan also encouraged the private sector to initiate some activities that can help improve their participation in the RDC. Some of the activities slated for 2018 include trainings on project development and gender responsive regional project monitoring and evaluation system (RPMES), sharing session on the role of private sector in the promotion of culture and values, and briefing on how to access funding for projects.
