RDC holds Full Council meeting in Palawan

The provincial government of Palawan hosted the 52nd RDC full council meeting held on September 4, 2015 in Puerto Princesa City.

Palawan Governor Jose C. Alvarez presided the meeting which was attended by directors and representatives of regional line agencies, local government units, and private sector representatives.

The matters endorsed during the meeting were: 1) port zone delineation of Liminangcong port in Taytay, Palawan to the Office of the President; 2) proposed amendment to EPIRA IRR to DOE; 3) implementation of CMAM; 4) proposed infrastructure projects in Southern Palawan to DPWH central office for inclusion in FY 2016 budget; 5) proposed farm to market roads in Southern Palawan to DA central office for inclusion in FY 2016 budget; 6) conversion of provincial roads in Souther Palawan; and 7) K to 12 basic education alternative scheme.

The council approved the resolutions on the following: 1) SRDA action plans; 2) PSR selection guidelines; 3) RPFP updating guidelines; 4) toxic contamination in Marinduque; 5) mercury disposal project in MIMAROPA; 6) project development assistance center; 7) regional tourism committee; 8) annual MIMAROPA festival; 9) RDC endorsement of proposed projects for funding and/or implementation by TIEZA; 10) support to RDC 6 Resolution No. 20 (S.2004); 11) Mindanao development corridors; 12) Palawan-Visayas nautical highway port partnership; 13) support to RDC 2 Resolution No. 02-10-2015; 14) signature campaign on climate change; 15) full implementation of K to 12 basic education; and 16) appreciation to the provincial government of Palawan for hosting the 52nd RDC full council meeting.

The members were also informed on the TIEZA services and guidelines, NDC investment guidelines, development policy research month, regional economic situationer, project monitoring report, status of RDC endorsed projects, peace and order situation, and report on illegal drugs in MIMAROPA.
