The Regional Development Council 4-B conducted a special meeting for its reorganization on July 29 at La Breza Hotel in Quezon City.
Outgoing RDC 4-B Chairman and Romblon Governor Eduardo C. Firmalo presided the meeting which was attended by Occidental Mindoro Governor Mario Gene J. Mendiola, Oriental Mindoro Governor Alfonso V. Umali, Jr, Marinduque Governor Carmencita O. Reyes, Palawan Governor Jose C. Alvarez, directors and representatives of regional line agencies, local government units, and the newly elected private sector representatives (PSRs).
The council confirmed the membership of the newly elected PSRs for CY 2016-2019 to the RDC full council and to the sectoral committees.
The council conducted an election for its nominees for RDC Chairman and Co-Chairman. Gov. Jose C. Alvarez and Mayor Arnan C. Panaligan got the same number of highest votes for the government sector, while Ms. Marvi R. Trudeau of Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc. and Mr. Rodne R. Galicha of Bayay Sibuyanon, Inc. got the top two spots for the private sector.
RDC 4-B approved the resolutions confirming the membership of the newly elected private sectors for CY 2016-2019 and the nominees for RDC Chairman and Co-Chairman for CY 2016-2019 which will be endorsed to the Office of the President.
