NEDA MIMAROPA conducts orientation on PRIME-HRM

The NEDA Regional Office in MIMAROPA (NRO MIMAROPA) conducted an  in-house  orientation  on   the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) at NRO MIMAROPA  conference room, Oriental Mindoro  on September 10. The orientation was held in connection with the 118th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) anchored on the theme “Lingkod Bayani: Maka-Diyos, Makatao, Makabayan”.

Civil Service Commission (CSC) Oriental Mindoro Field Office Director Josephine R. Altura was the event’s learning service provider. The event was attended by two officials and 28 NRO MIMAROPA personnel.

Dir. Altura discussed the mechanisms designed to elevate public sector HRM to a level of excellence. This is through the  process of assessment, assistance and awarding of HRM systems practices, and competencies on recruitment; selection and placement learning; and development,  performance management and rewards and recognition using the maturity level indicators that meet global standards.

She stressed the following key players in PRIME: (a) Promote – agency head; (b) Reinforce – human resource management officers; (c) Implement – HRMO and HR committees; (d) Move – managers; and (e) Enable – rank and file.

Furthermore, CSC shared that national winners of Dangal ng Bayan are nominees from the Department of Education (DepEd) Oriental Mindoro. These are Ms. Annie Lee Masongsong and Mr.Roderick Labay, both teachers from Bansud, Oriental Mindoro. The NEDA MIMAROPA ONE is encouraged to pursue its Project Isang Puso, Isang Handog, to be nominated for the group category for next year’s selection.

Altura also announced the following activities in celebration of PCSA: (a) outreach program in Baco, Oriental Mindoro on September 16; (b) regional job fair in Calapan City on September 26; (c) training on the amendments and additional provisions of Omnibus Rules on Appointments and Other Human Resource Actions or ORA OHRA  in Bulalacao on October 18-19; and (d)  supervisory development course training in Calapan City on October 23-26.

Dir. Altura received a plaque of appreciation and token of gratitude from OIC RD Susan A. Sumbeling,  OIC Assistant RD  Bernardino A. Atienza, Jr. of NRO MIMAROPA and OIC FAD Chief Joel M. Paule.
